The next election is our chance to put forests back on the agenda.

I’m thrilled to have Bob in town later this month, and for our community here in Macnamara to come together to discuss how we can all do our bit to protect our beautiful native forests.
Right now, our climate and environment are in crisis and the major parties have their heads in the sand.
In the 1980s, environmental campaigners, led by Bob, put the environment firmly on the political agenda for the federal election. This enormous campaign ultimately saved the Franklin River and saw the introduction of improved protections for our environment.
With a minority parliament the most likely outcome after the next election, we have a historic opportunity to put protecting our environment right at the heart of the next parliament. The last time there was a minority government, the Greens achieved world leading laws to protect the climate and the environment.
The next election is our chance to do it again.
I hope you can join us for this memorable evening!
